Environment a Priority (August 26th, 2009)

E-mailPDFPrint

The August 24th edition of the Chronicle Herald ran a story titled “Environment a priority”. The article was taken from the Canadian Press and told a story of Canadians being committed to being green, even through the recession.

“The finding [...] in the survey suggests that while voters are worried about the economy, they do not want governments to ease off on measures to protect the environment and combat global warming.”

-- Julian Beltrame (the Canadian Press)

The article in the Herald also stated that seventy-three per cent of Canadians said they were making more of an effort to be environmentally conscious in their behaviour than they were a year ago. By recycling and sorting garbage, Canadians are helping divert ‘wet’ garbage and recyclables from landfill cells and in doing so, are helping save the environment.

Nova Scotia has been a leader in environmental practices for years and the Kaizer Meadow Waste Management Facility is a leader in innovation and green practices. One thing that we don’t do at Kaizer Meadow is rest on our success. We build on it.

We have started to clear the area for Rainbow Net and Rigging’s new facility and are on the way to having our new Eco Park up and running.
